The Interlake Community Foundation (ICF) provides residents of the RMs of Rockwood, Rosser, and Woodlands, along with the Towns of Stonewall and Teulon, the opportunity to make a lasting investment in their community.

Your donation becomes part of a permanent endowment fund that is invested forever. The original gift is never “spent” or “used up.” Instead, the income earned from the fund supports local charities, community projects, and student scholarships year after year.

Through our Community Grants Program, your generosity continues making a difference for future generations.

Organizations throughout the South Interlake region apply for grants to fund local projects that strengthen our communities.

Because the Foundation uses broad and flexible granting criteria, we are often able to support innovative and meaningful projects that may not receive funding elsewhere.

Community Grant Applications

• Application Deadline: June 30 each year
• Successful Applicants Notified By: September 30

Create a Lasting Legacy

The ICF manages several different types of charitable funds designed to help donors achieve their philanthropic goals.

Types of Funds Available

• Named Endowment Funds
• Scholarship Funds
• Designated Charity Funds
• Community Funds
• Flow-Through Funds
• Spend-Down Funds

Our most popular option is an unrestricted named fund, where investment income supports the Community Grants Program and helps meet changing community needs over time.

Scholarship funds can also be established to support students, with criteria determined by the fund stakeholder in accordance with CRA guidelines.

Whether you want to honour a loved one, support a favourite cause, strengthen your hometown, or build a family or business legacy, we can help create a fund tailored to your goals.

Minimum to Create a Named Fund

Named funds can be established starting at $5,000.
