Woodlands Childcare Inc. – Warren Expansion Project Fund

Woodlands Childcare Inc, the first public childcare centre in the Rural Municipality of Woodlands, is expanding to strengthen the foundation of our community and meet the immediate and long term needs of our residents. With your support and commitment, the established centre, attached to the Woodlands Elementary School, will replicate their successfully modelled program in a new facility strategically located adjacent to the Warren Elementary School.

The newly constructed building of approximately 5000 sq ft will begin to alleviate some of the high demand for child care spaces. Currently our waitlist is at 180 children. The new facility will accommodate 32 preschool + 8 infant spaces with the possibility of expanding in the future if needed. The new facility will also provide the necessary convenience of an ideal location for working parents and families residing in the surrounding communities.

Our Mission

The mission of Woodlands Childcare, and the Warren Expansion Project, is to provide quality childcare options within the Rural Municipality of Woodlands. Our organization is committed to:

• assuring licensed childcare is available within the community
• providing appropriate facilities and programming that encourage healthy early childhood development
• maintaining effective board governance that assures continuity and sustainability of the centre

Building A Legacy

Woodlands Childcare is responsible for the complete construction and furnishing of the new space – everything from breaking ground to creative craft stations, imagination sparking libraries, outdoor playground equipment, kitchen appliances, infant change tables and child-sized washrooms that assist us in providing safe and quality care. The goal is to furnish our newest location with pieces that are durable, safe and meet the needs of all our children.

Every dollar contributed to the project is important, appreciated and takes us one step closer to meeting the needs of our community. Donations can be made through our partnership with the Interlake Community Foundation. Receipts will be issued for donations $50 and over.
