Lauritz & Georgina Jensen Fund

The Lauritz & Georgina Jensen Fund was started in November 2017 by Rockwood resident Lloyd Jensen. It is an  un-designated fund established with the Interlake Community Foundation in memory of Larry and Georgina Jensen to support local charities and organizations at the discretion of the ICF.

Georgina was instrumental in the establishment of the South Interlake Regional Library, serving as the first librarian. Her love for reading served her well on book purchasing trips for the Library, as well as recommending books for many people. Larry served in World War II volunteering for service with the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion in the liberation of Europe.

This fund will continue the tradition of giving back to the community to benefit all.
