The RM of Rockwood Fund was started by the Council of the RM of Rockwood in the 1990’s. The fund has grown to over $151,000 and forms a large part of our funds for community granting. Some of the organizations that have received grants from this fund include Hilltop Manor Stony Mountain, Balmoral Community Hall, Balmoral Rec Centre, Balmoral Daycare, Project Linus MB, Stony Mountain Community Association, Argyle Skating Club, Argyle Community Hall, Stony Mountain Rec Centre, Teulon Rodeo Club, Stony Mountain Childcare Assoc, Settlers Rails and Trails, Community Living Interlake, South Interlake Regional Library, Ducks Unlimited Canada, Prison Fellowship of Canada, Green Acres Art Centre, Teulon Daycare and South Interlake 55+.

Any registered charity in Argyle, Balmoral, Gunton, Stony Mountain, or elsewhere in the RM of Rockwood can apply for one of our community grants. https://interlakefoundation.ca/cause/for-grant-applicants/

Residents can donate to this fund if they would like to see donations support projects specifically within the boundaries of Rockwood.

The ICF is very proud to share that the RM of Rockwood Council has declared November 15 to 21st to be “Interlake Community Foundation Week!

“WHEREAS the Interlake Community Foundation invests in our communities for good, for ever through pooling of investments of gifts donated by various community members and organizations, with income earned on these investments granted back to support our local charities;
AND WHEREAS endowed funds are never spent, meaning the gifts will continue to earn interest which annually supports our communities forever;
AND WHEREAS The Endow Manitoba Giving Challenge helps the Interlake Community Foundation grow exponentially between November 15-21 when a $10.00 donation will be topped up to $19.00, through the combined efforts of the Manitoba government, The Winnipeg Foundation and a local benefactor;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Rural Municipality of Rockwood declare November 15-21 as Interlake Community Foundation Week.”
